passion. A passion for trucks. And it is this passion that motivates
and compels us. The old expression “anything worth doing is worth
doing right” is more than just a half hearted slogan in our shop. It
is the guideline by which we operate.
My background in trucks dates back to the early 1980s with my
first 4x4 Bronco which eventually sported a straight axle conversion
on 44s with a 600+ horsepower supercharged 460cid engine. My love of
trucks merged with my interest in drag racing as monster truck
racing began to take shape in the mid 80s. I eventually jumped into
the sport following this closely held philosophy, “Progress comes
for doing things in new and unexpected ways”. This led to my
introduction of low center of gravity designs, underslung chassis,
air springs, bypass shocks, and air bump stops within the sport.
Though I retired from monster truck racing I still have a keen
interest in the sport and have plans on returning someday.
Truck Toyz began as the result of friends who were aware of
my background insisting on me building up their trucks. This
inadvertently became a full time job as word of mouth spread. We now
have customers from all over the USA, Canada & Mexico and are
nationally recognized for our work. We are very active on the show
circuit as this gives us a chance to show off our work and socialize
with many of our customers & friends. In addition we spend a great
deal of time on-line answering questions on several message boards.
We pride ourselves on staying on top of all the latest trends and
components in order to offer our customers the best possible service
and product knowledge.
